Brother Monty began his call to Kingdom work through the church in 1983. He eventually was led into pastoral leadership and began to pastor First Baptist Church of Hallsville. He was then called by the Lord to Central Baptist Church in March of 2018. Monty has a passion for seeing people learn to love God more deeply, love others with compassion, and to help others love God through discipleship.

Monty is married to Lynn and they have four adult children, three daughters and a son. Having both lost spouses to cancer, God blended their families into a new family. Two of their daughters (Kristen & Karoline) reside in Dallas, and one (Kaitlin) in Philadelphia, PA. Their son (John Calvin) lives in Austin. Monty & Lynn share a deep love for the Lord and for people. They love to host and experience life alongside the people of Panola County!
